Pand Noord opened in 1917 as a warehouse and expanded in 2006 with a second building to the rear. Today Pand Noord is home to more than 40 predominantly creative companies across 7,800 m². A traditional brick front gives way to a modern complex whose turquoise tones reference the waters of the port. The south-facing balcony and on-site cinema are specific to this chapter.

Where Pand Noord sits
Amsterdam Noord covers the area north of the IJ water. It includes the NDSM-werf industrial shipyard area in the west, the A'DAM and Overhoeks district directly opposite Centraal Station, Buiksloterham in between, and residential quarters further north. Pand Noord sits in the Vogelbuurt-IJplein area, inland from the waterfront but connected to Centraal Station by the Noord/Zuidlijn metro in under 10 minutes and by free passenger ferry from IJplein.
Our single Noord chapter sits slightly inland, a 5-minute walk from metro station Noorderpark and a short cycle over bridge 902 to IJplein. The building is not on the water itself, which matters for the tenant profile: it is a creative working building, not a waterfront destination building.
Chapter No.12 (Pand Noord) sits in the Vogelbuurt-IJplein area, a post-war residential district being reshaped by new restaurants, cafes, and the creative industries clustered around NDSM and A'DAM.
